Success Story: Cliff

Maddi Ginsberg

Cliff, a former US Marine, woke up one day and realized he could barely tie his shoes. He had two kids and a wife to take care of – something had to change.

Cliff says it was tough to get motivated at first, but once he figured Noom and his nutrition, the pounds came off easily. His first “big lose” was dramatic: he went from 264 pounds in April 2014 to 212 pounds in October of that same year. He says he was surprised by that loss – and it inspired him to keep going.

Now Cliff is down to 194 and feels the best he has felt since he was on active duty! He tries to stay active as much as possible, and now that he can play easily with his kids, it’s one of his favorite ways to get moving.

Cliff’s advice to those trying to lose weight? “Keep your head up. It will come in due time. You will see your hard work in the way your clothes fit before you see it on the scale.”

Cliff aims to hit 185 pounds soon, which is what he weighed when he was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 2001. Way to go, Cliff!
