Your DPP coach will be able to see how you are doing and can help you find healthier options, balancing your eating plan with food that is not only helpful for diabetes prevention, but also food that you will enjoy!

A program for long-lasting success.

Over the course of one year, Noom's Diabetes Prevention Program helps you gradually master the habits you'll need to gain and maintain the skills for healthy living that will help to prevent type 2 diabetes. Your program is broken into 2 critical periods:

1) MONTHS 1-6: you will focus on nutrition and physical activity fundamentals while communicating with your coach and group at least once per week
2) MONTHS 7-12: you will focus on more in-depth behavioral topics such as: stress, sleep, and emotional eating. You will continue to have the guidance of your coach based on your needs and while you and your group continue to cheer each other on and help work through challenges together.

Noom believes a healthy weight starts with a healthy mind. During the yearlong program, you'll go through 4 stages of learning how to make behavior change.

Learning

First Stage

The first step to creating healthy habits is understanding where you're at in your process. We will carefully monitor your routine and teach you the basics in healthy nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep. This will help you understand which changes you should focus on.

Practice

Second Stage

Now that you have a clear picture of your current habits, you can move forward with making some changes! Our Noom Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coaches will help you to develop defined goals, clear ways to reach them, as well as motivation and support to help you overcome potential barriers.

Advanced Learning

Third Stage

Now that you have started to put into practice what you have learned, we will work with you to solidify your routine. Whether it's a new physical activity or a more effective way of dealing with stress, your new health habits will be part of your day to day.

Mastery

Fourth Stage

After learning and practicing how to confront all your possible barriers, you will be ready for reinforcements in the final phase. In this final step, you will learn how to conquer your habits in the long-term. At the end, you will ready to face each obstacle with the knowledge and confidence that you need in order to make the right decisions.
