It seems like every week I am hearing about a new kind of diet. From Keto to intermittent fasting, it seems I regularly have friends swearing by one type of eating or another.
To be honest? I have tried a lot of these plans and programs. I have tried programs where you eat specifically packaged meals and programs where you eat a very selective kind of diet. I have had varying degrees of success with each of these programs but afterward, the weight almost always came back. Why? Even though I was changing my diet, I wasn’t changing my attitudetowards food.
Over the last six months, I have lost 30 pounds. I was thrilled, determined to keep it off and ready to start a new chapter in my life. My doctor adjusted a medication for my chronic condition and —boom—15 pounds jumped back on my body in less than a month. I was so frustrated, but it was also an eye-opening moment for me. I needed something that wouldn’t change my day, my week or a month. I needed something that would change my life. This is when I finally signed up for Noom. I had eyed the program previously and finally decided it was what I needed to make a change.
