Noom Room: Marathons and Motivation

Happy Wednesday, I hope you are having a great week! As always, it has been a super busy one here for me. One thing I know is that one life gets chaotic, I do not always make the best choices when it comes to my diet. In fact, one of my New Year’s resolutions was to maintain a healthy diet this year; however, that had fallen by the wayside until a few weeks ago.

I knew I needed to get back on track after I hopped on the scale and realized I had gained several pounds. Of course, my first reaction was “How can this be? I exercise all the time!” Then, a favorite meme popped into my head, which states: “Fitness is 20% exercise and 80% nutrition. You can’t outrun your fork.” Ok, ok…I’m not sure of the percentages, etc. of exercise to nutrition, but what always resonates is the part: “You can’t outrun your fork.”  So, yes maybe I ran 6 miles, but that does not mean that it will undo the bag of chips I consumed while carpooling my kids from place to place. It was time to try something new.
