The minimum calorie budget allowed for females is 1200 and males 1400.
To change your daily calorie budget, first, select settings in your side menu, or “drawer”
You should see a section titled “Weight loss speed”. The left side of this scale, the tortoise, means a slower weekly weight loss speed, which translates to more daily calories. The right side, the cheetah, means a faster weekly weight loss speed, which translates to fewer daily calories — feel free to experiment with these options to find what works best for you!
If you’re trying to decrease your budget, please know that our app will not allow you to go below 1200 calories. So, if you notice that your calorie budget isn’t changing, then this may be correct as it will be the only available budget if your height, weight, age, etc. are such that your BMR calculates to a very low (sub-1200) value, and decreasing the weight loss speed to the lowest value (to reduce the daily calorie deficit, i.e. increase the budget) doesn’t increase the budget enough to exceed 1200. In this case, the new (higher) budget will still be adjusted up to 1200, which is the minimum allowed budget for females.
However, if you’re trying to increase your calorie budget and experimenting with the intensity settings still isn’t increasing it enough, then this means that based on your profile, you’re trying to set your calorie budget outside the parameters of the app’s algorithm. In this case, you would have to manually enter a workout to increase the budget to offset the calorie budget’s default values.
