Why Aren’t My Fitbit Steps Syncing!

If you’re showing steps in your Fitbit app, but Noom still shows 0, first make sure you’ve setup your Fitbit device properly between the Fitbit app and your Fitbit cloud account. You can follow Fitbit’s guide here: How do I set up my Fitbit device? 


If it’s setup properly, but your steps still aren’t showing in Noom, go to Noom > Settings > Apps & Devices > Connect Additional Devices and tap Disconnect on Fitbit.


Next, go to your Fitbit account here, search in the list for Noom Coach and tap Revoke Access.


Open Noom and reconnect your Fitbit by going to Settings > Apps & Devices > Connect Additional Devices and tap Connect beside Fitbit.


Enable the following required permissions:


  • Profile
  • Fitbit devices and settings
  • Activity and exercise

WARNING: All 3 options MUST be selected or your steps will not sync. They are not optional!


Tap Allow.


Finally, go to Settings > Apps & Devices > Choose Steps Data Source and select Fitbit.


The initial sync will take a long time. But if your steps still don’t show in Noom, please contact us and let us know how many steps show on your fitbit.com cloud account and your Noom account.
